beautiful area found on the Tasman Peninsula. You can catch a high speed catamaran from Hobart or drive through the scenery to reach it. If you're feeling
brave you can also book yourself on the very spooky Port Arthur Ghost Tour that operates most nights and stay at a variety of comfortable accommodation in
the area. Click here for more pictures of Port Arthur.
Strahan

Strahan is an isolated but very beautiful town located on the west coast of Tasmania. It is from this base that you can truly experience the island's most
untouched wilderness. Take a cruise along the Gordon and Franklin rivers to see the ancient forests and sparkling clear rivers, or drive through the eerie
landscape around Queenstown where old mines have left the countryside scarred from pollution and resembling more of a lunar landscape. The contrasts in this
area are truly remarkable and well worth night or two to fully enjoy the region. Click here for more pictures of Strahan and the Gordon and Franklin Rivers.
