Launceston

Launceston is the largest city in Northern Tasmania and the second largest in Tasmania (after Hobart). It is one of Australia's oldest cities having been established in 1805 with plenty of beautiful, old historic buildings still well preserved in the city.

"Lonnie", as the locals know it, boasts some amazing scenery in and around the city. The Cataract Gorge is a must-see located on the eastern side of the city, and offering some spectacular scenery. It also boasts the largest single span chairlift in the world, offering a unique perspective of the gorge and parklands.
