Cradle Mountain Tour

This is a short 3-day Cradle Mountain tour commonly agreed to be one of the most beautiful parts of Tasmania. Perfect for a romantic getaway or a long weekend escape.

Arrive in Launceston and set off for Cradle Mountain (about 2 hours by car). Once you arrive check into the cosy Cradle Mountain Lodge and warm up before setting off to explore the national park. In the afternoon enjoy a walk around Dove Lake (an old volcanic lake with deep, icy water... so not great for swimming!). On this walk you can also usually see Cradle Mountain (weather permitting) and enjoy numerous other walks in the region.

Today enjoy a warm breakfast at Cradle Mountain Lodge before setting off to explore more of this beautiful national park. There are many tours and activities available in this area including scenic flights, horse riding and walking tours. At the end of the day return to Cradle Mountain Lodge to enjoy a warm, relaxing spa at the Waldheim Alpine Spa and see some local nocturnal wildlife on the "nocturnal animal night viewing tour".

On day 3 enjoy a morning walk on one of the multitude of walks available in the Cradle Mountain National Park before driving back to Launceston. If you have time, there are many sights to see in this beautiful city.... maybe you should think about postponing your flight home...
